In unit 3 I rated both my psychological and my spiritual
well being at a 9, and my physical well being at a 2. In the areas of psychological and spiritual
well-being I would still rate myself at a 9, I keep up with my daily spiritual
practices and intend to keep both at a nine believing that we always have room
to grow as a person and spiritually. As
far as the physical, I am going to rate myself at a 4 now, I have a weight loss
of about 10 pounds now, and feel that I am on my way to my goals, I didn’t rate
any higher because one of my goals was to exercise more every day, and because
of the horrific weather here on the east coast I can barely get out of my house
for a walk, and honestly I am feeling a bit depressed because of the weather so
I haven’t done anything inside either, hopefully with spring on its way this
will change right quick.
I believe with this course that I have grown and improved. I liked learning new applications like the
loving kindness practice which will most definitely be of great use to me. By keeping up with my practices and using new
ones like loving kindness, I will be able to stay true to myself and be
compassionate for others when I need to serve.

ReplyDeleteI can also find so many reasons to not take care of myself physically. It's hard sometimes when there are so many things to do in a day then you want to just relax. I see my physical health as exercise and what I eat and I work on all of it little by little everyday. The most important thing is to never give up or beat yourself up. It's important to be loving, kind and compassionate to others, but it's just as important to treat yourself the same. I have to remind myself of this sometimes. You sound like you've got the right attitude. Good luck in everything you do.

ReplyDeleteCongrats on your 10 lb weight loss, it may seem small to you but that is great! Don't get discouraged, spring is coming!! I live in East TN so we have had some of that horrid weather too, I downloaded an app for at home work outs- it makes my phone ding every hour until I open it.
Having so much to do in a day that you get no relaxing or down time is another thing that plagues many of us.
Best of luck in class and in the future- that weight loss will happen just stick to it.

The loving-kindness practice was the most beneficial aspect of this class for me! I think it is great that u will continue to use this. I really feel it is an amazing practice to spread love and good vibes to everyone around you. Good luck on your amazing journey!

ReplyDeleteThe physical part is impossible here on the east coast and you're right it i very depressing. It snows everyday but somehow you were able to lose those 10 pounds. when you are able to exercise you'll find that the weight loss may be the catalyst you need to lose more. Loving kindness was my favorite part of this class, i learned so much about how to treat others.
