Unit 8

I chose loving kindness and meditation for my the two practices that are most beneficial to me.  Using loving kindness helps me to see everyone as one with myself.  For those times when some people are less than appealing to me for whatever reason, this practice really helps to put things into perspective to the fact that everyone has feelings, everyone has a soul, and everyone is going through something in their life.  This is a great practice to use when you need to forgive someone, keeps your mind clear when we are able to rid it of unnecessary clutter.  By practicing meditation it allows me to go deeper to connect with my inner and my higher self and helps me to see more clearly and gives me much clarity, in turn this enables me to stay present and focused. ~

    You and I are like two peas in a pod. Sometimes people just move you the wrong way and at first you have trouble dealing with them, but you take a step back and look at the situation form their point of view and you can sort of understand where they are coming from. I really have to find time for the meditation, as open as I am right now I know if I use meditation I will see the world and people in a whole new light.

  2. Hi Michelle,

    I liked the loving kindess as well and it has actually helped me to forgive my enemies and people who have wronged me in the past. It allowed me to accept their apologies so that I could move forward in my life without them having control over my mindset. I have just forgiven and forgotten, it is what it is. Meditation is still a new practice for me and I need more practice in order to full master it. Do you plan to continue any of the practices once the course has ended?

  3. We share the same choice upon this unit exercise. It has all been a great experience learning all of the various ways to find peace in our lives. Forgiveness, happiness, peacefulness, and visualization. I have never experienced so many things that I needed in my life, in just one class.
    I hope that you enjoyed this class as much as I did. From our healing minds, to our bodies, then to be treated, and prevention of diseases, and illness, how can this not be the best class ever?!!
